Maintenance & Inspection Blanket Service Contract
FPL awarded Gibraltar Chimney International a 5-yr blanket service contract to provide maintenance repairs
for the (30) stacks and chimneys at each of the (11) Generating Stations in their Florida system. The contract was
awarded to GCI after evaluating capabilities, price, safety and service.
Projects completed to date have included various maintenance repairs, involving a wide diversity of capabilities and skills such as:
- Acid brick liner repair and rebuild
- Concrete shell repairs
- Platform and sampling port installations for CEM systems
- Breeching duct repair and re-clad
- Re-coating concrete shells
- Lightning Protection System installation
- High-pressure water blast cleaning
